You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother's womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous - how well I know it. You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered! I can't even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand! And when I wake up, you are still with me!

6 weeks, 5 days: 2/25/2009

Today is your Great Grandma's (my Grandmother's) birthday. She is a very wonderful person; always smiling and happy (and she makes the BEST dumplings in the world). Aunt Bonny and I went to the doctor on the day I found out I was pregnant with you, just to confirm that I really am pregnant. Today was my first really big visit to the doctor. Your daddy and grandma went too. I thought that we might have a chance at seeing you, but we didn't get an ultrasound. We did hear your heartbeat though! It was so fast and strong!! As sick as I have been, hearing your beating heart made me forget about all of it. I felt so happy, that I cried happy tears! The doctor did prescribe me medicine for my nausea (which unfortunately, has been really bad). I heard that once the first trimester is over, the sickness goes away. Pretty please. :)

Love,
Mommy
